Disciplinary Norms
The school emphasizes the importance of punctuality, regular attendance, and adherence to uniform standards in all activities. Students who violate these disciplinary rules may face penalties or fines as determined by the school authorities. Broadly the norms of discipline are mentioned as below:-
Attendance
1. Every student has to maintain 80% attendance to appear in the annual exams.
2. Appearing in the Terminal test is compulsory.
Admission to class XI
Only a limited number of students will be accepted into class XI of the Senior School Certificate Examination. Those interested in enrolling in class XI must register their names and submit an attested copy of their class X Board/Council Exam marks within a week after the results are announced. There will be no separate entrance exam; instead, admissions will be based on the merit of their class X Board/Council Exam scores, depending on available spots. It’s important to note that students who completed their class X at this school will not automatically move up to class XI. Admission to the higher class will be strictly based on merit, considering their past conduct and behavior in school.
Leave Rules
Students are not allowed to go home during the school hours except in a few cases as mentioned below:-
1. Students can take up to three days off for a sibling’s wedding, but this leave won’t be approved during exams or camp sessions.
2. Leave for specific medical treatments can be granted if recommended by the Medical Officer or Chief Medical Officer.
3. To request any leave, students must submit a written application to the Principal; requests made via Telegram, Fax, or Telephone will not be accepted.
4. Leave requests will only be considered if submitted by parents, who must also note the return date and time. If a student fails to return on time, they risk being removed from the school rolls and may not be readmitted.
5. If a student is absent due to illness, a medical certificate must be included with the application.
Serious Offense
A student can be expelled for actions that disrupt school discipline or for consistently breaking school rules. If a student’s academic performance is significantly poor, parents or guardians may be asked to withdraw them. The final decision in these matters rests with the school disciplinary committee, led by the Principal.
Rules for Registration & Admission
For admission to Nursery, children must be at least 2 years and 6 months old by July 1 of the enrollment year, and age must align with the class they wish to enter. Overaged students will not be admitted, and only birth certificates from recognized authorities will be accepted. Once the admission form and registration fee are submitted, the child’s name is registered, but this does not guarantee admission for higher classes, as tests are typically conducted in March. There is no admission for classes X and XII.
Rules for School Leaving Certificate
A student’s name can be removed from the school rolls at the end of the academic year if the guardian provides written notice to the Principal by March 31. If a student leaves during the academic year, the fees paid will not be refunded. Admission is granted with the expectation that students will remain for the entire academic year.
